WHAT YOU WILL RECEIVE
Your mealworms are shipped in wheat bran, which provides both bedding and food during transit. We carefully package each order to help protect the mealworms throughout shipping.
Mealworms are a live product, so weather can affect their condition during transit.
SHIPPING OPTIONS & WEATHER
For the best chance of live arrival, we recommend shipping when temperatures are between 50°F and 85°F.
If temperatures in your area are below 50°F or above 85°F, we recommend selecting Hold for Pickup at Post Office when available. This allows your package to remain at the post office rather than sitting outside in extreme temperatures.
Please check the weather in your area before ordering. Weather along the shipping route may also affect delivery.
Regardless of the shipping option selected, please bring your package indoors as soon as possible after delivery or pickup. Do not leave live mealworms sitting outside, in direct sunlight, or in a hot or cold mailbox.
If there is a problem with your order upon arrival, please contact us through within 2 hours of delivery or pickup. Include clear photos of the mealworms and the packaging. Please retain the original packaging until the issue has been resolved.
We will work with you to resolve the issue.
MEALWORM CARE AFTER ARRIVAL
Mealworms can be kept refrigerated to slow their development and keep them in the larval stage longer.
Keep mealworms in their shipping container with the wheat bran. Check them regularly and provide a small amount of fresh, moisture-rich food such as carrot when needed. Remove uneaten fresh food before it begins to spoil.
When you are ready to feed them to your animals, allow the mealworms to warm to room temperature before feeding.
