Longines Conquest Heritage, Ref. L1.611.6, Solid 18K GoldThis watch was a gift to my father from his employer, and he later passed it on to me. It comes from a private, non-smoking home.
A Longines Conquest Heritage in solid 18K yellow gold, a modern reissue of the 1954 Conquest. Hallmarked 18K / 750 on the caseback. Produced circa late 1990s to 2000s.DETAILS
- Reference: L1.611.6 (dial marked 633 / 7290)
- Case: 35mm solid 18K yellow gold, screw-down caseback
- Lug width: 18mm
- Movement: Longines L633 automatic, based on the ETA 2824-2
- Dial: silver sunburst with applied faceted gold indices, date at 12. The gold case may be giving the dial a slightly warm cast in photos.
- Crystal: domed acrylic, newly replaced
- Strap: new brown leather strap with gold-tone buckle (neither original to the watch)
CASEBACK MEDALLION
The blue enamel and gold medallion (signature of gold Conquest models) is present with partial enamel loss around the edges of the blue field (see photos).
TIMEKEEPING
Running and keeping good time, about 10 seconds per day, measured dial-up off the wrist, well within the normal range for a mechanical watch. Lume on the hands and hour markers still glows.CONDITION AND DISCLOSURES
- Signed Longines service crown in steel.
- A few specks of debris under the crystal (see close-up photo).
- Small scuff on the strap edge near one lug.
- Light scratches on the case and lugs consistent with age. Please see photos.
- No box or papers. Service history unknown.
- Water resistance not tested. Please do not submerge.
