What You Are Getting
Five original 1950s dress patterns, all bust 32 — a matched-size set that covers the decade’s best silhouettes: full-skirted shirtwaists, a portrait-collar party dress, a slim sheath with stole, an Elizabeth Hilt “American Designer” shirtdress and a sweetheart full slip to wear underneath.
Condition & Details
The 5 patterns in this lot:
- Advance 7814 (1950s) — misses shirtwaist dress with full skirt, 3/4 or short cuffed sleeves. Size 14 Bust 32. Cut.
- Advance 7731 (1950s) — misses slim sheath shirtdress with raglan sleeves (American Designer). Size 14 Bust 32. Cut.
- McCall\'s 3643 (1950s) — misses and junior sheath, flared dress and stole. Size 14 Bust 32. Cut.
- Simplicity 2496 (1950s) — misses dress with portrait collar and full skirt. Size 12 Bust 32. Cut status not confirmed.
- Advance 8228 (1950s) — full slip with sweetheart bust and flared or straight skirt. Size 14. Cut.
Checked from the outside only: the tissue was not unfolded and pieces were not counted. “Appears uncut” means neat factory folds; please treat every other pattern as possibly used. Instruction sheets are included unless noted.
The flaws, all of them:
- Advance 7814: handwriting on front \'Morgan\' and \'Skirt are pretty full!\'; light edge wear, faint spots.
- Advance 7731: handwritten name \'Dom\' (or \'Dora\') on front; handwritten \'50\' at top-left; light edge wear.
- McCall\'s 3643: handwritten name \'Ella Paulk\' in blue ink on front; water stains at lower right; edge wear and tears at right edge.
- Simplicity 2496: tear at top edge, creases, edge wear.
- Advance 8228: pencil handwriting near size (looks like \'Dot\'); foxing/stains on lower front; edge wear.
