Elite-quality hardware throughout for a purer overall sound
Ludwig\'s brass snare drums are renowned for their luscious warmth and crispness, making them a great fit in everything from jazz fusion and R&B to blast beat-filled death metal and more. That said, a snare sounds only as exceptional as its hardware, something Ludwig knows all too well. The Universal Black Brass snare boasts some of the manufacturer\'s highest performing components to date, improving on its already delectable tone by smoothing out many of the unwanted artifacts that can occur. Its P88I throw off gives you complete control over snare tension to dial in that perfect pop and crack, made better with a P35 butt plate to anchor everything in place. This drum\'s slightly larger tube lugs not only add a dash of visual elegance — Sweetwater drummers constantly turn to solid-brass lugs such as these, thanks to their incredible durability, which is a hallmark of a reliable snare for the stage and studio. Die-cast hoops round out this rock-solid snare, producing a drier, more focused sound with a noticeable volume boost and improved tuning stability.
