Rare original LARGE print advertisement carefully removed from a 1979 entertainment industry trade magazine/newspaper announcing the start of principal photography on William Lustig’s classic 1980 horror film Maniac.

This early production ad features completely different artwork from the film’s familiar release campaign and lists Daria Nicolodi, Susan Tyrrell and Jason Miller alongside Joe Spinell. All three were absent from the finished film, making the ad an unusual record of Maniac while its cast was still changing during production.
