Ambrose was best known as the \"Father of Arkansas Statehood\" and in 1836 he was elected as the first member of the US Senate from Arkansas. As you may know, Ambrose was appointed ambassador to Mexico by President James K. Polk in 1848 at the end of the Mexican-American War and he passed away later that year on December 31, 1848 at the age of 47.Shipping is only $8.95.
