​Rare, beautiful, substantial pair of vintage hand-carved onyx horse head bookends. Standing at an impressive 10.5 inches tall, these are much larger and more commanding than the typical smaller stone bookends commonly found on the market.
​Crafted from solid, heavy onyx, they feature gorgeous natural banding, swirls, and stone variations that make this set completely unique. They have an elegant, timeless Mid-Century Modern / Art Deco aesthetic that looks fantastic on any bookshelf, desk, or mantle.

​Excellent Vintage Condition. This pair has been exceptionally well cared for over the years. I'm not a professional. Upon visual inspection I saw no to minimal visible chips or cracks noted on either piece. The bases and edges are hand carved and seem to be sharp and clean as much as expected from hand carved stone, which is very rare for vintage stone carvings of this age and scale. Please review all photos for a closer look at the natural stone patterns and condition.
