Attractive complete folded letter from Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, bearing a clear rectangular pre-philatelic handstamp:

The original internal correspondence is dated 1850, placing the item firmly in Mexico’s pre-stamp postal period, six years before the introduction of the first Mexican postage stamps in 1856.
A separate large “3” postal-rate marking is also present on the front.
The letter retains its original manuscript contents and folded-letter format.
