The series pitted NapoleonSolo and the United Network Command for Law Enforcement against thesinister THRUSH.
The original series neverdivulged what T.H.R.U.S.H. represented, but in several U.N.C.L.E.novels by David McDaniel, it is the Technological Hierarchy for theRemoval of Undesirables and the Subjugation of Humanity.
The series starred RobertVaughn, David McCallum and Leo G. Carroll, and featured a veritableWho's Who of dazzling guest stars, usually cast as villains.
