Ultra-rare 1982 [The Beatles Mono Collection] (Black Export Box (Catalog Number BM1)
EMPTY BOX ONLY (NO RECORDS/CERTIFICATE).
Historical Importance: While the UK domestic market received the unnumbered red box (BMC10), EMI assembled a strictly limited run of only 1000 numbered black boxes under catalog number BM1 via the Dutch East India Trading Co. for export. Finding a standalone black shell is an extreme rarity.
Provenance & History: This specimen is an uncirculated and unused box as manufactured for EMI by the London Fancy Box Company. Because it never held the weight of the 11 mono vinyl records, the interior liner, structural corners, and bottom base are completely free of the typical strain or tearing. Stored perfectly vertical for over 40 years.
Condition Details: Mint. Phenomenal preservation on the black textured outer coat. The silver lettering is fully intact, sharp, and bright. The seams are tight and unmarred. A premier Holy Grail piece for a serious Beatles enthusiast looking to upgrade an existing damaged BM1 box.
The number is 48 from a print run of 1000
