DESCRIPTION
Vintage INTERNATIONAL SHOE CO. black leather military/government-contract service shoes with original DPSC / DLA contract markings inside. These are classic plain-toe Derby/blucher shoes built in a straightforward, durable service-shoe style with thick stitched composition soles and rubber heels.
This is definitely a wear-it pair rather than a collector-condition pair. The uppers have numerous scuffs, scratches, creases, and marks, and the original leather heel pads/sockliner sections are missing inside. On the positive side, the shoes remain structurally solid and the heavy composition soles make them an excellent candidate for rainy-day, work, commute, or everyday “beater” dress shoes when you don\'t want to subject your nicer leather-soled footwear to bad weather.

Pre-owned vintage condition with substantial cosmetic wear.
These shoes have lots of scuffs, scratches, creasing, surface marks, and general wear across the black leather uppers. There are several more noticeable marks and scratches across the toe and vamp areas.
The original leather heel pads / rear sockliner sections are missing, leaving the underlying interior footbed exposed in those areas. The interior lining also shows considerable age and wear.
The heavy composition soles show wear but remain intact, and the rubber heels retain usable material.
These are not dress-up collector-condition shoes. They are better suited as a practical pair of vintage service shoes for work, commuting, rainy days, or general everyday wear where cosmetic perfection is not important.
Please review all photos carefully for the exact extent of the scratches, scuffs, interior wear, and missing heel pads.

Marked Men\'s US 8 R.
R indicates Regular width, roughly corresponding to a standard men\'s width.
The open-laced Derby/blucher construction offers more adjustment across the instep than a traditional closed-laced Oxford.
