Mobil 1 V-Twin 20W-50 is a full synthetic engine oil for air-cooled V-twins. Mobil\'s data sheet describes it for “four-stroke motorcycle engines in high performance motorcycles,” and ExxonMobil recommends it for use in Harley-Davidson machines.
This listing is a case of six 1-quart bottles, Mobil part number 112630. On a Milwaukee-Eight, which takes 5.0–5.2 quarts with a filter, that is one full change with a little left for topping off.
This is engine oil. It is not primary chaincase or transmission lubricant — on a Big Twin those are separate compartments taking a different product. See below before you order. Where this goes on a Big Twin — and where it doesn\'t
A Harley Big Twin has three separate lubricant compartments. They do not take the same fluid, and getting it wrong is an expensive mistake. Mobil\'s current data sheet lists this oil for the engine, and nothing else.

What Mobil publishes about it Built for heat An air-cooled V-twin in traffic is one of the hardest jobs an engine oil does. Flash point of 214°C and a 20W-50 grade chosen for exactly this service. A real anti-wear package Mobil\'s product guide lists nominal 1,750 ppm zinc and 1,600 ppm phosphorus. For comparison, the same table puts Mobil 1 5W-30 at 900 ppm zinc — this is roughly double, which is what a pushrod air-cooled twin wants. Full synthetic Not a blend. Mobil positions the V-Twin oil for high-performance four-stroke motorcycle engines rather than as a general-purpose 20W-50. One change, not two A Milwaukee-Eight takes 5.0–5.2 quarts with the filter, from Harley\'s published specifications. Six quarts covers that change and leaves you something in reserve. On most Japanese and European motorcycles the engine, gearbox and wet clutch all share one sump. Those bikes need an oil rated JASO MA or MA2, which certifies the friction properties a wet clutch depends on.
Mobil publishes no JASO rating for this oil. We have checked the data sheet and the product page and the word does not appear. Mobil does state JASO MA and MA2 on its Racing 4T 10W-40, so the absence here is deliberate rather than an oversight. If your bike has a shared wet-clutch sump and your manual asks for JASO MA, buy an oil that carries it.
This oil is aimed at the Harley-style layout, where the engine has its own sump and the clutch does not run in it.
