You are looking at the actual Christmas card that Motley Crue sent out to music industry professionals in 1984. This is probably the most infamous Christmas card ever sent out. Motley Crue had the idea of sending out this card showing them and a couple of 8 balls of cocaine. This card caused quite an uproar in 1984, as you can imagine. I have never seen one for sale. I know the band and this came directly out of the Motley Crue storage facility in 2016 after they retired from touring (the 1st time). This card is brand new and it was never sent. You have the infamous photo of the band on the front of the card. Inside the card reads \"Have a Motley Christmas and a Happy Crue Year\".
Here is what Nikki Sixx had to say about this card......\"We had been on tour finishing up the Shout at the Devil töür and wanted to do a holiday card to send out to the music industry to give our thanks for supporting us. One of us numbskulls in Mötley Crüe thought this was a great idea. All we needed was a couple 8 balls of cocaine, a large mirror and voila. After the holidays we got tons of letters and phone calls to management on how inappropriate the \"Have A Mötley Christmas And A Happy Crüe Year\" holiday card was.\"This Christmas card is approximately 5 inches x 7 inches. This is THE original and not a copy. It is printed on thick stock card paper. It would look great framed with other SATD era Motley Crue memorabilia. This sale is for the 1 card. The card will be sent in a plastic top loader to protect the condition.
