Enter a realm of allegorical beauty with our bronze statuette depicting Chronos with an hourglass, symbolizing the passage of time and the transient nature of life. This soulful portrayal of the tired old man captures the essence of passing time, creating a profound and contemplative representation. The statuette, perhaps once adorning a clock case or memorial tablet, emanates late Baroque characteristics in the movement of the figure and the sweeping outline, while also reflecting pictorial concepts of Neoclassicism through the classically developed body and uniform white paint.
Masterful Craftsmanship
Handcrafted with meticulous care, the bronze sculpture was cast using the ancient lost-wax casting method, ensuring that every detail is preserved with authenticity and artistry. The brown patina finish adds depth and character, conserving the sculpture's timeless appeal and enhancing its visual impact.
A Cherished Addition
Mounted gracefully on a black marble base, the statuette bears the artist Moreau's signature, a testament to the artist's skill and vision, making it a cherished addition to any art collection or decor. Embrace the contemplative beauty of Chronos with the hourglass, a symbolic piece that transcends time and evokes reflections on the fleeting nature of existence.
