This is a muzzle brake designed for the newer Ruger made Marlin 1895 .45-70 rifles with 11/16-24 threaded muzzle.

Fully CNC machined by myself in the USA from durable high grade 416 stainless steel.

Through trial and error, I personally designed these to be as short, compact and streamlined as possible, such as not to take away from the elegance of these rifles, while still providing significant recoil reduction without the excessive blast that comes from more open port type muzzle brakes. After about a dozen different iterations, I believe I have accomplished my goal. What sets my design apart is that other brakes typically just have a straight through machined bore for ease of manufacturing, with ports machined in around the periphery into the bore. After extensive testing, I have found that adding individual internal expansion chambers under each row of ports not only adds to recoil reduction but also seems to cut down on muzzle blast. This is a complex machining process that requires state of the art machinery and high attention to detail. I will also mention that the hotter the load, the more noticeable the recoil reduction will be.

This listing is for the pictured bead blast finish to perfectly match the finish on the Trapper series rifles. They are also available in a brushed finish to match the SBL series rifles in my other listings.
