The xMB-9640 is a professional EV/HEV battery service platform designed to charge, discharge, diagnose and balance individual high-voltage battery modules during module-level battery repair.
The xMB-9640 platform is used in service applications for multiple vehicle manufacturers and is not inherently limited to Ford vehicles.
This particular package was originally configured for Ford service and includes Ford-specific cables, interfaces and accessories.
Independent EV repair facilities, battery specialists and other qualified high-voltage service shops may also have applications for the xMB-9640. Use with non-Ford vehicles may require additional OEM-specific cables, interfaces, software or service information that are not included with this package.

This package contains the Ford-specific accessories originally supplied with the system, making Ford/Lincoln EV and hybrid service its best-documented configuration.
The xMB-9640 base platform itself is not exclusively a Ford machine. Midtronics uses the xMB-9640 platform in high-voltage battery service applications for multiple manufacturers.
Use on other makes and models will depend on the individual vehicle and may require:

• Appropriate communication/interface hardware
• OEM or Midtronics software/access
• Vehicle-specific service information and procedures
Ford dealership status is not required simply to own or operate the xMB-9640. However, certain Ford-specific repair procedures may require access to Ford diagnostic/service information.
This is specialized high-voltage service equipment and should only be used by technicians properly trained and qualified to work on EV/HEV high-voltage battery systems.

PLEASE NOTE: The equipment cart will be disassembled or partially disassembled for shipping, similar to the manner in which it was originally supplied by the manufacturer. Minor reassembly of the cart will be required upon delivery.
Shipment will be made using a tracked Ground service such as UPS or FedEx, depending on destination and package configuration.
