This is a genuine new-old-stock JCPenney "Penneys" Mini AM/FM Lift Out Car Radio from around 1970. It has never been removed from its original styrofoam packing and has never been installed in a vehicle. The box was opened only for these photos.
The radio mounts in the dash, and you can lift it out and carry it as a portable radio, which is what the box means by "Carry with you wherever you go."
Complete and unused:

This radio came from the transition years when Penney's was moving from the "Penneys" name to "JCPenney," and both names appear here: the box says Penneys and the manual says JCPenney. It's rare to find one of these complete and unused. It would suit a collector of vintage car audio, a period-correct classic car restoration, or a 1960s–70s design display.
