ORIGINAL WORLD WAR ONE RAILWAY OFFICER SWORD. The blade is for the most part bright showing some areas of darkened age patina. There are a few minor nicks along the edge. The blade measures 29 inches in length and is not marked by the manufacturer. The grip/guard/clamshell all show an even age patina. There is a white substance present in the recessed areas. I would suspect this to be brass polish. This must have been applied many decades ago as all the metal has since regained its age patina. The scabbard fittings also show even age patina without the applied brass polish. The leather is all tight & intact showing some wear & age. See multiple photos for the best idea of the condition.
