How it keeps your conversations private
Most private AI products are an app that still talks to a server. This one is a self-contained operating system that runs from the drive, in your computer's memory, and never opens the computer's own disks.
Off the grid by default
Every Wi-Fi and Bluetooth radio is switched off at startup and no cable connection is made. The switch in the sidebar is the only thing that changes that.
Nothing written anywhere
The whole system runs from memory. Your PC's internal drives are never mounted. Shut down and the conversation is gone, unless you chose to save it.
Nothing phones home
No account, no telemetry, no background update checks. The interface loads nothing from the internet, not even a font.
Turn the network on and it tells you exactly what will happen first. Turn it off and every radio goes dark again.
What is on the drive
Seven open-weight models, all under the Apache 2.0 license. At startup the drive checks your computer's memory and graphics card and picks the largest model your machine can run well. You can switch any time from the sidebar.

What to expect, honestly
Works on
Any 64-bit Intel or AMD PC or laptop with 4 GB of memory or more (8 GB recommended, 16 GB for the largest models). Boots with UEFI or legacy BIOS. Secure Boot can stay on.
Does not work on
Apple Silicon Macs, Chromebooks, phones, tablets.
Starting it
Plug in, power on, press the boot-menu key (F12, F2, Esc or Del on most PCs; the included card lists them). Your existing Windows or Linux is untouched.
Time to first answer
About 1 to 3 minutes from power button to chat, depending on the computer and USB port.
Speed
Measured 24 tokens per second (fast conversational speed) on a desktop with an NVIDIA RTX 3060. Without a dedicated graphics card, replies arrive at reading pace or slower; the smaller models are quicker.
Accuracy
Models this size are strong aids for writing, summarizing and coding, and they can be wrong. Not a substitute for professional legal, medical or financial advice.
Why buy this instead of downloading something free?
Everything on the drive is open source: Debian Linux, the llama.cpp engine, and Apache 2.0 models. A skilled person could assemble something similar over a weekend. What you are buying is the finished, tested product:
