Holy moly.. what a treat it is to come accross this! This is something every western collector needs in their collection! Made between 1880-1910 based on the styling, and judging by the handmade rings and handles. It even has the original skeleton key, with matching serial numbers to prove it! It also unlocks the strongbox of course. The locking mechanism is super smooth, it\'s very satisfying to lock, and unlock this thing. It\'s also still very secure if you\'d like to lock things inside! Just imagine the items that have been transported back in the day in this thing.
Has most of the original green paint on the inside, and a beautiful patina on the outside. Could use some oil on the outside to not only make it pop more, but also to get some old residue off of it. Looks like something was dropped on the lid as some point, but just is proof that it was used, does not interfere with functionality whatsoever.
This beast weighs 115 pounds, and a custom, protected crate has already been made for it!
