Igot this “Omc Johnson Evinrude 277160 1950s-1960s era 3hp 4hp Lower Unit with Gears & Hub” from a Maine Estate estate I bought.
TheGentleman was a Marine Mechanic for decades.
Thisis from his extensive new & used inventory.
Hehad this inventoried as: “Good 4hp 277160 Lower Unit with Gears”.
Ibelieve this may fit 1950s-1960s era 3hp 4hp (it may fitothers).
This is not my expertise so you will need to be the expert here!
Please look at pictures and numbers to assure this will fit your motor.
PLEASE NOTE: The Number stamped on the Housing is 277160.
PLEASE NOTE: I pulled the Hub to verify the Gears are Good. I\'ll ship the Lower Unit as seen with the hub Removed. You can either replace seals or slide the hub back together as is.
PLEASE NOTE: The Fill & Drain Plugs will need new Gaskets.
