For this collection, Bandai has dusted off a design well-known to Dragon Ball card collectors, with the card layout being similar to that used for the Dragon Ball Visual Adventure collection.
This collection doesn\'t use screenshots from the anime. The Visual Adventure cards feature original illustrations that Oda created for chapter covers, Weekly Jump color pages, and some drawings intended for art books.
There are four series released between 1999 and 2000, sold in two formats: vending machine format and EX format, sold as 10-card booster packs, with booster boxes containing 15 boosters.
The regular cards in both versions are identical, unlike the prism cards, which are different. Some very original cards were created for this collection, including a timetable with a sticker sheet featuring the Straw Hat Pirates, laser cards, and prism cards with detachable parts on the back. The back of each card is different, featuring a miniature version of the front image with descriptive text.
It\'s a shame this collection ended after only four series, as the final illustrations and mini-adventures were truly magnificent.
