A standing female figure study combining traditional academic drawing with loose, expressive oil painting. The raised arms create a graceful elongated pose while areas of exposed drawing, unfinished canvas and visible brushwork give the painting the character of an atelier study captured in progress.
Warm flesh tones are set against a simple blue-gray painted passage, with portions of the figure deliberately left unresolved to preserve the immediacy of the original study.
