Up for sale is an original post-Civil War / Indian Wars era U.S. Army Officer's Dress Sword Belt Rig, circa 1875-1890.
Features a beautiful stamped brass Pattern 1874 Eagle & Wreath belt plate with the "E Pluribus Unum" motto banner. The rear of the buckle features the period-correct soldered brass wire loop and wide shield-shaped locking tongue.
The original black leather belt is intact with multiple rows of reinforcing stitching. Crucially, the leather tab retains a crisp, legible factory waist size stamp of "34".
Condition: Antique, used condition with excellent natural patina on the brass. The leather shows light surface cracking and age but remains completely solid, stable, and flexible. Please review all photos for exact condition details. Missing the lower hanging sword straps.
