This is an original USGI butt plate for the M1 Garand rifle. This listing is for ONE Butt plate, I have four available.
They appear to be made by Springfield Armory during WWII as they have the square plunger on the door hinge and the vertical lines on the inside of the door plate.
They are in good shape and show wear on the checkering on the rear of the pad. These probably got re-parked somewhere along the way. They have a gray parkerized finish to them.
It comes with fully functional butt plate only (no screws)
This would be an excellent addition to your Garand collection or the perfect part to complete an all Springfield rifle or all WWII rifle.
