Add another level of protection to your transmission with the PPE Transmission Fluid Thermal Bypass Valve, part number 125071000, designed for 2015–2018 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500 equipped with the 8L90 8-speed automatic transmission and 3/8" transmission line.
The factory thermal bypass valve contains restrictive internal passages and can fail in the closed position due to debris or mechanical failure. When that happens, transmission fluid may not reach the cooler, which can lead to dangerously high transmission temperatures and reduced transmission life.
The PPE bypass valve replaces the restrictive factory unit with a billet aluminum direct-fit upgrade that maximizes fluid flow to and from the transmission cooler for improved cooling efficiency and long-term reliability.
