Torsion springs are the most common type of springs used on garage doors. It is critical to have the correct size springs in order to maintain a properly balanced garage door. When ordering replacement springsmake sure you are ordering the correct sizeThis will ensure you get the correct springs. Please do not guess which springs the garage door needs. The door will not balance properly and may cause damage or injury. Please be sure to install springs correctly, WHILE STANDING INSIDE THE GARAGE LOOKING UP AT THE TORSION TUBE, the right wind spring (red mark on winding cone) goes on the LEFT SIDE of center bracket, and the left wind spring (black mark on winding cone) goes on the RIGHT SIDE of the center bracket, Make sure you know what you are doing, if springs are put on backwards and ruined due to improper installation, refunds will be denied. WINDING BARS AND BUSHING ARE PACKED INSIDE THE SPRINGS.
