About my watch
Available for your consideration is my Panerai Submersible Carbotech PAM 1616, a 47mm diver that is everything Panerai does best. It is big, bold, and unlike anything else in your watch box. This watch ships through \'s Authenticity Guarantee, so it is independently verified before it reaches you.
The case, bezel, and crown guard are all made from Carbotech, Panerai\'s carbon-fiber-based composite. It features a matte black grain that varies on every case, so no two are alike. Carbotech is also much lighter than steel or titanium, which means this watch feels surprisingly light for its size and is comfortable enough to wear all day.
This watch has phenomenal wrist presence, and the black dial with blue accents gets plenty of attention. It can be enjoyed on smaller and larger wrists alike. Inside is Panerai\'s in-house P.9010 automatic movement with a three-day power reserve, and it\'s a true dive watch, water resistant to 300m.
History and what you get
I am the second owner. The watch was originally sold by a jeweler in Feb 2023, and I purchased it from the original owner in 2024. Prior to buying it, I contacted the jeweler directly to confirm the sale and verify that the serial numbers matched their records. I have the original invoice and am happy to share a redacted copy—along with the jeweler\'s contact details—so a serious buyer can make the exact same verification call I did.
Included: the traditional wooden Panerai box, warranty card, clear case guard, Panerai screwdriver, and two genuine Panerai straps. The black rubber strap with the blue OP logo and Panerai buckle is on the watch now, and the velcro dive strap with blue stitching is included in the box.
The warranty card has never been registered. However, Panerai\'s coverage runs from the original purchase date, so I would not count on a factory warranty, and I have priced the watch with that in mind.
MSRP on this reference was $22,080, so this is an opportunity to own one for a fraction of that.
Condition, honestly
I would call this watch lightly worn. It is not mint and I won\'t pretend it is. The worst of it is a fine scratch on the crystal by the 12 o\'clock marker that is visible only at certain angles. There are also a few subtle nicks on the edge of the bezel between the 1 and 2 markers, and an extremely small nick by the 45 that you need heavy magnification to find. My photos use harsh light and macro settings, which make these marks look far worse than they do on the wrist and also pick up dust I may not have fully removed. I would rather you see the worst of it now than be surprised when you open the box.
