The Pharrell Williams x adidas Adistar Jellyfish “Triple Black” is the stealth iteration of the collaborative silhouette that was named Footwear News’ 2025 Shoe of the Year. Following an exclusive launch at Billionaire Boys Club and the adidas 5th Avenue Flagship in New York City in December 2025, this all-black colorway received a wider global release in February 2026 .
Design & Aesthetic
The “Triple Black” treatment covers the mesh upper, leather overlays, and the protruding 3D TPU exoskeletal panels in a unified Core Black shade, allowing the shoe’s sculptural complexity to take center stage . The wavy, tentacle-like TPU structure flows from the midsole up through the sidewalls, evoking the pulsing gills of a jellyfish. Subtle contrast comes from a two-tone black and silver lace set, along with silver hits on the nylon lace loops . A stealthy cool blue tint appears on the synthetic extensions, while glow-in-the-dark details add an ethereal touch in low light . The tongue and insole feature Jellyfish and VIRGINIA branding .

Beneath the monochrome exterior, the shoe retains adidas running heritage. An adiPRENE-cushioned midsole sits over a tonal black rubber outsole, delivering responsive comfort for all-day wear . The layered mesh upper provides breathability, while the chunky platform construction is rooted in the Adistar Cushion 3 and Response CL lineage
