Philosophical Investigations by Ludwig Wittgenstein 1963 Krausz Signed w/DJ For Sale

Offered here is Philosophical Investigations by Ludwig Wittgenstein, translated by G.E.M. Anscombe and published by Basil Blackwell, Oxford, in 1963. This is the reprint of the second edition from 1958 — a foundational text in 20th-century philosophy, representing Wittgenstein’s later work and his revolutionary ideas on meaning, language, and thought.

This copy bears the ownership signature of Michael Krausz, the distinguished philosopher and professor known for his work on interpretation, relativism, and aesthetics. It also includes several marginal notes and annotations, almost certainly in Krausz’s own hand, offering valuable insight into the interpretive habits of a scholar deeply engaged with Wittgenstein’s ideas.

The book retains its original dust jacket, showing moderate to heavy wear, with tears and edge loss, especially at the top and bottom edges. The jacket also has light staining along the spine and edges. The book itself is solid and square, with clean pages except for some occasional pencil and ink marginalia, consistent with scholarly use. There is a stain on the top edge of the text block as shown in the photos. The interior binding remains tight.

This is an excellent association copy, offering both collectible and scholarly value — a tangible link between two notable philosophers of the analytic tradition.
