  • This version is dividedinto chapters with the Life of the Author to which are added explanatory andpractical notes by the Rev Messrs. Mason, Scott and Burder.
  • Also, a Key to theAllegory with a critique on its beauties embellished with elegant engravings,designed by Richard Westall, R.A.

  • Hard leather cover.
  • Spine is glued onupside down.
  • Covers and end papersare not attached but the rest of the book and pages are all attached.
  • The book measures8-7/16 inches x 5-1/8 inches.
  • Pages show browndiscoloration, some creasing and foxing. Page 437-8 has some tearing on theedge (it is sticking out). Other pages with tearing are the blank end papers.
