Quit rare OVERSIZED 11"x14" b/w (white margins on solid photo) Official White House Presidential Portrait of President Dwight D. Eisenhower circa 1956-1960 (during his second term as President) to his Assistant Secretary of Defense, E. Perkins McGuire.
Photo is inscribed to Mr. McGuire and signed boldly in dark brown fountain pen ink by President Eisenhower (all as seen) in lower right white margin area. Signature of President Eisenhower is guaranteed 100% authentically hand signed by President Eisenhower and not secretarial of AP (I have the few known and published AP patterns as well as the known secretarial patterns as authenticating Presidential signatures is one of my specialities here in the Washington, D.C. area.
E. Perkins McGuire served as Assistant Secretary of Defense under President Eisenhower from December 28th, 1956 until January 20th, 1961. Photo was gently removed from its original US. Govt framing from the 1950s and presumed to have been hung in Mr. Perkins office here in Washington, D.C. area at the Pentagon . Item can easily being re-framed in a standard 11x14 frame for re-display as well.
