This is a large Antique Victorian Mourning Hair Wreath from 1889. On a stunning handcrafted gilded gold frame. Measurements-* 25.5” Wide* 27.5“ Hight* 5.25” Depth (Front of frame to wall) Very rare! Incredibly/meticulously crafted as a mourning shadow box for a loved one. Including the year 1889 made with hair. The beautiful gilded frame is a stunning piece of work itself. Adding in the vibrant red fabric the wreath is placed on. Truly makes this a one of a kind piece. The frame has a few chips and nicks. But that just adds character in my opinion. The pictures show all these details. And you’ll also find someone’s name/initials engraved on the back. Potentially the person whose hair this is. PLEASE SEE ALL ABOVE PHOTOS!!!!All parts are original. Except the new hanging wire. Which I put on because the previous one rusted and broke.
