This is a beautiful, incredibly rare ladies\' set of collars and cuffs pattern by the Cosmopolitan Fashion Model Company.Year/ era: circa 1898 - 1901.Size: Large. No specific measurements are given.Condition: This pattern has never been used and came to me still in the factory folds. I carefully unfolded the pattern to trace a copy, but it has still never been used. The envelope flap adhesive remains adhered to one sewing pattern piece. All pieces are present.Patterns like these came slightly stuck to the envelope themselves with a bit of adhesive.
The envelope sleeve is in very strong, crisp condition but there is chipping and wear at the edges. For a pattern that is 123 years old, it is an extraordinary find intact and complete. This is an unprinted tissue paper pattern with perforations and notches. There are no seam allowances and very limited instructions only consist of what is printed on the envelope front. This pattern will ship with every care and protection possible, including a cardboard envelope and full insurance. Thanks to a marvelous colleague and fellow pattern collector Janet of Vintage Patterns Company, this pattern includes the following provenance:
\"From the previous owner, Charlotte:This pattern is from a stash of unused, old store stock inventory of the Campbell, Sprague & Company General Merchandise store. This establishment was in continuous operation from 1820 - 1950, and was located in the small town of Roscoe, New York. All of these patterns appear in the 1899 Spring/Summer Cosmopolitan Patterns counter book. Many of the patterns have the envelope flap adhered to the tissue pattern.\"
