RARE Dolly Parton Gift From Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash READ DESCRIPTION For Sale

I found this at a family run estate sale here in Nashville Tennessee about 20 years ago. I saw this sitting on the table and immediately wanted it only because it was such a cute photo of Dolly. When I went to go pay for it the woman asked me if I knew who that was. I responded that\'s Dolly Parton and she said no, do you know who that is with her? I didn\'t. She told me that it was John Carter Cash, Johnny and June\'s son. She went on to tell me that her mother was one of John Carter Cash\'s favorite teachers. June knew that she was a big Dolly Parton fan and she gave it to her as an end of the school year gift. I always loved the fact that this photo personally belonged to Johnny and June and they gave it to her. While I never doubted the woman\'s story, I didn\'t have any provenance that it was actually true. That was until John Carter Cash posted one on his Instagram almost a year ago on August 14, 2025. He then posted it again, sadly this time as part of a tribute to Dolly on the day she passed. He also gave his father Johnny photo credit on the post!These are the only two that I have seen in the entire 20 years of looking for a similar one. They are most likely the only two in existence. Also, I need to add that this is not a photo that has been put into a frame. Back in the 1960\'s to the \'80s you could have pictures mounted onto molded resin imitation wood frames like this one. This adds even more proof of its uniqueness.This truly is a EXTREMELY RARE piece of country music history! Not only is it an adorable picture of John Carter Cash and Dolly but it\'s a photo that was actually taken by Johnny Cash AND it was given as a gift to one of John\'s favorite teachers by June Carter Cash.
