"Gay Jensenwas a fine artistclosely tied to the Big Island of Hawaii.Born in Michigan, where she initially painted in oils, she relocated to Hawaii in 1981 and expanded her repertoire into watercolors, pastels, and silk painting.
Her pieces are deeply inspired by the tropical beauty of the Hawaiian islands, focusing on vibrant landscapes, island sunsets, local sea life, tropical birds, and flowers. She is also well-known for integrating ancient Hawaiian petroglyph designs and hula dancers into texturized handmade paper.
She was a prominent member of the Kailua Village Artists Gallery for nearly three decades before joining the Blue Sea Artisans collective. Her physical fine art pieces are occasionally displayed at regional venues like the Harbor Gallery."
