COOL RARE ITEMS FROM THE HISTORY OF U.S. BOWLING.
POSTER - Cardboard - 11\" x 14\" advertising a NATIONAL DOUBLES TITLE MATCH - between Wally Reppenhagen and Bill Kenet, Detroit National Champions vs. Paul Krumske and Joe Sinke, Chicago Challengers. Overall good condition.
Held at the KING PIN BOWLING LANES in Wilmette, Chicago.
I am fairly confident the photos are from this match. The photos are approx. 11\" x 14\" as well.
The first photo, which is great, features the 4 bowlers featured on the poster. The 2nd photo shows two men. One in a suit with a cigar and the other with a Classic Bowling League Chicago shirt on. I assume they may be a couple of the bigwigs or promoters of the match??The 3rd photo is a group photo showing the large crowd of spectators watching from inside the bowling alley. The 4th photo is another group photo which shows some more men in Classic Bowling League Chicago shirts, but I believe they are just spectators for the night. One guy sitting up front looks like he might have been in the Chicago Mafia - ha! This photo is cut on both the left and right side. I don\'t think much more than the white borders were cut out as it is just a tad shorter than the others. Probably cut to fit a frame.I had some other pics that were just close ups of these 4 photos.
You get the poster and all 4 photos. Super super cool nostalgic bowling pieces here and a Chicago Bowling expert may know more about who some of these other folks are.
