RARE Vintage Starter x Budweiser St. Louis Cardinals 1982 World Series Champions Jacket - Size XL
If you\'re an OG redbird, you know that the Cardinals were owned by Anheuser Busch during the 1982 \"Suds Series\". This original vintage Starter team jacket \"owner\" variant was custom ordered exclusively for senior management staff at the brewery that year. They were given out on Wednesday October 20th, 1982 when the Cards beat the Brewers at Busch Stadium in Game 7 to win the World Series - just in time to be proudly donned at the victory parade the following day.
It\'s a Men\'s Size XL and featuresthe embroidered bird on the bat embroidered onto the external shell layer. This variant features the \"World Champions 1982\" script on its right breast with the \"Budweiser\" script logo prominently embroidered across the back, both of which are stitched through to the inner liner.
One of only a handful ever produced, this survivor is clean, structurally well intact, and in gently treasured condition. The inner seam of its right side pocket liner has come unstitched over the course of its 44 years. Expect a couple thread pulls, and some random (very) faint soiling spots consistent with age and extremely occasional wear. No visible rips or visible flaws were noted.
