Rare 1799 Uniface Medal Emperor Napoleon Consulate Waterloo Battle Wellington:
$299.00
I am offering for sale a rare 1799 Uniface Medal with a portrait depicting Napoleon Bonaparte when he served as First Consul of France during the Consulate Period. This uniface version of the medal likely was an early trial proof for the two sided version. The name Bonaparte appears under the portrait of Napoleon. There is a legend around the rim that states, \"LE PLUS GRAND DES GUERRIERS,\" which means the Greatest of Warriors. It is in very good condition with age appropriate wear and patina. It measures 2 1/4 inches in diameter.
