• Rare and unusualLenzkirch mechanical digital flip clock, dating to approximately1893–1894 but those dates have not been verified by a serial number which I cannot find. The falling-number display is based on the innovative system patented byJosef Pallweber in 1890, with Lenzkirch beginning production of these clocks around1893.
• The clock features a highly decorative bronze-toned figural case with a putto riding a fantastical dolphin/sea creature, beveled glass panels, and ornate gilt decoration. The movement is clearly markedLENZKIRCH A.G.U.
• An exceptionally early example of mechanical digital timekeeping, produced decades before modern electric digital clocks.Currently working order as you can see from video . has 100% original untouched surface the way you want to find them !
