This lighter is an absolute holy grail for both Zippo transition-era enthusiasts and Petroleum Californiana collectors, featuring the highly coveted post-WWII 3-barrel external hinge case beautifully paired with its period-correct, matching 16-hole chimney interior insert carrying the PAT. 2032695 patent in classic block lettering. The front showcases the crisp, iconic oval CPS logo, representing mid-century California's largest independent oil well rigging and servicing contractor at the height of the post-war energy boom. The reverse side acts as a literal blueprint of the 1940s oil patch, stamped with a highly detailed regional directory of active field dispatch stations including Long Beach, Ventura, Santa Maria, Newhall, and Huntington Beach.
