Collectable acrylic paperweight commemorating first oil from the Durward and Dauntless fields on 9th August 1997.
This particularly unusual example features two suspended oil-drop capsules, one marked “Durward” and the other “Dauntless”. Each capsule contains a dark amber-coloured sample, creating an impressive double-drop display within the clear cylindrical acrylic body.
The paperweight carries the HESS logo and identifies the project companies as:

• Genuine period corporate condition with some surface scratches, scuffs and handling marks consistent with age and display. There may also be small marks, bubbles or natural imperfections within the acrylic and around the two encapsulated samples.
The camera and close-up lighting tend to emphasise every small surface mark; the paperweight presents better to the eye in normal viewing. Please study all photographs carefully, as they form an important part of the condition description and show the exact item you will receive.
PACKAGING
Every paperweight offered, whether supplied with its original presentation box or not, will be placed inside a clear protective polythene bag, followed by a clear bubble-wrap bag. It will then be packed in a new die-cut cardboard box, which may also be retained for safe storage of the item. This box will be placed inside additional protective outer packaging for secure posting.
