An exceptionally rare and highly collectible Edwardian sterling silver shoe pin cushion, hallmarked in Birmingham in 1913 by the renowned silversmiths S. Blanckensee & Son Ltd. Crafted in the detailed form of a classic gents brogue shoe with intricate punchwork and eyelets, this piece features its original dark green velvet cushion top which opens on a hinge to reveal an interior compartment. Full, crisp British hallmarks are clearly stamped on the side—including the maker's mark "S.B & S LTD", the Birmingham anchor, the sterling lion passant, and the date letter "o" for 1913. Condition is rated around 6/10; it shows visible signs of age, including natural tarnish, minor surface wear, and age-related marks on the silver and velvet cushion top consistent with a 110+ year-old antique.
