Up for sale/sale is an incredibly rare, authentic vintage 1946 Lucien Lelong "Orgueil" perfume bottle. This highly collectible Art Deco period flacon features a beautiful polished gold-plated/gilded brass casing over a glass bottle, permanently anchored to its original fabric-covered presentation base. The lower front edge of the base is beautifully embossed with the fragrance name "ORGUEIL".
Condition & Fragrance Details:
- Original Fragrance Present: Upon gentle shaking, a small amount of the original perfume liquid remains inside and is audible. The fragrance is rich, warm, and highly aromatic.
- Mechanics: The top cap/topper comes off easily and fits securely.
- Exterior Wear: The bottle is firmly and securely anchored to its presentation base (as originally manufactured—never forced or pried). The plating shows beautiful luster with minor age-appropriate patina/wear around the top rim. The fabric base shows typical light vintage darkening/staining along the edge, consistent with an 80-year-old vanity piece. The box/case does show some age wear.
