Rare set of seven American Bicentennial commemorative plates produced for the Corning Glass Works Pressed Plant and Corelle Livingware in 1976.
Each 10 1/8\" plate features a different historic Revolutionary War or early American scene and is marked \"American Bicentennial - Corning Glass Works - Pressed Plant - Corelle Livingware - 1776-1976.\"
The seven scenes included are:
• Paul Revere Gives the Alarm to the Countryside
• The Spirit of \'76
• Washington Crossing the Delaware
• Betsy Ross Shows Washington the Stars and Stripes
• Drafting the Declaration of Independence
• Surrender of Lord Cornwallis
• Signing the Constitution of the United States
These plates appear to be a special commemorative series associated with Corning Glass Works and the Corelle Livingware Pressed Plant during the 1976 Bicentennial celebration.Sets like this are seldom encountered.
Condition: Excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs noted. Please review all photographs carefully as they are part of the description.
