The tune that this plays is Edelweiss (The Sound of Music) and the music from Dr. Zhivago. These pieces are rare hard to come by especially movement & music box working. This one has a lovely swirl design with beautiful colors in the porcelain. Made in Florence, Italy. Photos don’t do this justice. The carousel’s mechanical operation is smooth and functions as intended. When wound and the button is pressed, the carousel doors open in synchronization with the music. Once the doors are fully open, the second musical sequence begins, after which the doors gently close, completing the full cycle.
