It is the extremely rare find of a Royal Doulton twoface Mephistopheles small toby jug. It is also the version that includes theelusive verse, “When the devil was sick, the devil a Saint would be. When hegot well, devil a Saint was he.” It was designed by Charles Noke and HarryFenton in the late 1930’s. The condition is terrific, no crazing, cracks, chipsor repairs. The only issue I see is unevenness in some of the hand painting. The pictures were taken in both natural light of the day and with the flash as well. The white spots are from the flash. Itmeasures 3/38” tall x 4” long x 3” wide. It will be carefully packed with carefor shipping. This will make a terrific gift for your special someone or foryourself.
