Vintage 1952 matched pair SUPER MEPPS spinning lures. The first production of the matched pair. One for bright light (silver) and one for overcast (gold). This pair was released in July of 1952 and was not set up for US production or export. These were probably bought by someone in military that was stationed in Europe after the War. These were designed and built by the French engineer Andre Meulnart. These are designated the size 1 lure (3 grams) but weigh closer to 4 because of the factory optional treble hook. Stamped below the solid upper case letters SUPER MEPPS are the upper case letters BTESGDG. \"Brevete Sans Garantie Du Government\"or Patented without government guarantee. I believe these to be a grade 2 as there is some tarnish and they could be cleaned but I have not touched them.Shipping will be paid. Please don\'t hesitate to ask me if you have any questions.
