Rare Vtg 1940s Deadstock Boys Blue/Blue Set -Sz 3 American Pickers Find For Sale

Own a genuine piece of WWII-era history with these incredibly rare vintage 1940s deadstock boys' sets. This special collection was found in an old general store near Gettysburg, PA, a location famously featured on the TV show American Pickers. These unworn, two-piece suits are a stunning example of mid-century children's fashion, complete with their original labels.

The suit features a classic blue shirt with a striking denim collar trimmed in a patriotic red and white stripe. The shirt has three front buttons and a single chest pocket. The shorts attach with four buttons at the waist (front and back) and include a separate belt for a tailored look.

An incredible piece of historical context is found on the original label:

OPA Retail Ceiling Price: The Office of Price Administration was a U.S. government agency created during WWII to control inflation. The price on the label, "$2.20," was the legal maximum price for this item, a fascinating detail of wartime economic policy.

W.P.B. 578 B: This almost certainly refers to the War Production Board, an agency that regulated the production and distribution of materials and fuel for the war effort. The number is likely a specific product code used for tracking.
