An authentic, highly collectible mid-century piece of fashion history. Rena de Mexico was an exclusive boutique label with mid-century outposts in Beverly Hills, Mexico City, and Las Vegas. Known for high-end resort and evening wear, these garments are highly sought after by vintage collectors. A playful strapless sundress by Rena de Mexico features a playful, graphic mid-century 1950s "sunny" marigold yellow and orange abstract polka dot + floral print. Fitted, flexibly-boned bodice with a single ruffle at the sweetheart neckline, nipped waist, and a full circle skirt built for serious twirling - pin-up-style silhouette, party-dress Classic 1950s bombshell silhouette featuring a structured, heavily boned strapless bodice and a dramatic pleated full circle skirt.

No materials tag, but feels like cotton as Rena de Mexico is known for. 

No size tag - flat measurements below. Because the bodice is fitted and boned with limited stretch, please compare to a well-fitting dress you own rather than going by a typical size number. I am a modern size 8 and it fits me almost perfectly! It’s actually me wearing it in the photos - just Photoroom-ed myself out

Condition: Very good vintage condition, with 2 holes in the inner layer of the cotton above the label & inner layer of cotton at the bottom of the bust area at the back; the stitching at the darting on the bust is pulling apart slightly, but not very noticeable. The fabric retains vivid colors and no major structural flaws. Minor age-related wear is consistent with an authentic 70-year-old garment and does not detract from its stunning presentation.
